OBITUARY: Bruce Evans, a dedicated Chinese Railway Enthusiast since 1990s, a very good friend of mine, died yesterday.

Dear Bruce,
It was sad to learn about your news today. I was very fortunate to spend the Christmas 2019 with you and your family in Johannesburg. Thank you Bruce for your extensive knowledge on Chinese railway. You have been an inspiration to me and many Chinese railway enthusiasts. Your broad-minded interest went beyond steam railway and you have taken so many valuable photos, recording sightings on Chinese railway since early 1990s. You will be missed dearly but your works and researches on Chinese railway lives on.
